| Chair |
Usually a managerial position, overseeing a project, group, or specified tasks. Chairs serve specified terms based upon the longevity of the project, and usually have authority to define content of a publication. |
| Editor |
The individual who determines the content of a new publication composed of two or more previously published papers, or oversees a publication composed of several authors papers centered upon a subject area. Editors must be knowledgeable in the subject area. |
| Production Editor |
The goal of this individual is to take someone else's work, and transform it into a form necessary for publication. For SIGGRAPH, this often required converting text to PDF, imagery to TIFF or JPEG, and video to cross-platform QuickTime. |
| Manufacturing Manager |
responsible for the bidding, manufactur, testing of content on multiple platforms (Macintosh, Windows, UNIX), cdrom cover publication, and timely shipping. |
